About Mike
Welcome to my website! My name is Michael Carbajal, and I’m a life coach who believes that our life experiences shape us, and can be a powerful source of inspiration and growth. I go by Coach Mike, and my journey started when I hired my own personal life coach, who helped me through some very difficult times. I eventually decided to pursue the proper training that I needed to become a life coach myself, because I had such an impressionable experience with my own life coach. Allow me to share a little bit about myself and why I’m so passionate about coaching.
From Humble Beginnings to Inspirational Life-Coaching
My journey hasn’t always been a smooth one. As the son of a single mother, I had to raise myself from the age of 14. My mother worked multiple jobs, and my father was not around to support and guide me into manhood, so I had to learn on my own. Navigating the complexities of life with little physical, financial, or emotional support is not only challenging, but it can feel crippling at times. As the son of immigrants, I received little empathy from my parents, who were in survival mode themselves, so I can relate to the challenges that many individuals have to endure today. My early life experiences instilled an understanding in me that we all have to overcome hardships, and develop the resilience it takes to keep pushing forward.
I faced another formidable challenge when I was diagnosed with cancer. My diagnosis changed my life and gave me a new perspective. It taught me the true meaning of courage and fortitude. I realized that I had the power within myself to persevere and conquer cancer! I did so with the help and guidance of my life coach. It was during this time that I discovered the power of personal growth and self-improvement. I embarked on my own journey of healing and transformation, using the guidance from my own life coach and participating in a life coaching program. I obtained the professional training that I needed to ensure that I am equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to make a positive impact on my clients’ lives.
